According to data collected by AT&T from the Small Business Technology Polls in 2011, businesses are increasingly using mobile technologies for day to day operations. This year alone, more than 70% of small businesses use mobile apps for their operations. The study was conducted on an online survey covering more than 2,000 small businesses.

The study revealed that 96% of small businesses uses wireless devices, and noted that three quarters of all business owners use apps, with one third admitting that it would be difficult to operate their business without their apps.

These figures make it clear that mobile technology has changed small businesses for good, and if you have yet to make any changes in this regard, perhaps it is time to do so. Making these changes will not only help your business but it will also give you a leg up on the competition.
