Mike Barron Founder and CEO of Limelight Media

Mike Barron

Mike Barron is an American entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Limelight Media. Before achieving his success, Barron was a gangster and his unique life perspective is what has helped him build his high ticket closing agency and be considered one of the top marketers and sales professionals in the world. He was born to a 16-year-old mom and a drug dealer father. His father was not present in his life when he was growing up, so he found himself trapped in the “street life” trying to fit in and be the cool kid.

He is a natural-born leader who wanted to gain the respect of his neighborhood and thought being a gangster was the only way. When he met his wife Diana, Mike decided to turn his life around. He attended college and tried to build a career in the corporate world, but destiny had other plans for him. His university lost accreditation and he lost his job as the president of the college. This led him to get odd jobs until he realized he wanted to become an entrepreneur.

He started his journey after reading many self-help books and decided to live a purpose-driven life. His successful company now helps Marketing Agencies and Fitness Professionals scale their businesses to multiple six and seven figures. Mike is considered as one of the world’s top marketers.

Please tell us a little bit about your company – what is Limelight Media all about?

My company is Limelight Media. It is a Facebook Ad Agency that helps fitness professionals with lead generations and sales. The Organization has received the “2-Comma Club” Award distinguishing us among the top internet marketers in the world. This company sells digital products provides done-for-you and done-with-you services. We service the 100s of active clients.

The 2nd Operation is Mike Barron’s Closing Academy. The organization gets those that want to be sales “Closers” certified through our education and technology. Here we also serve 100s of students, and this organization is also a multi-8-figure business.

Tell us a little bit about your background and how you started your company?

I started my background in education in 2010 as a career advisor within the proprietary education space. Within 3 years I rose to the position of President. in 2015 I joined Grant Cardone’s as a Sales & Marketing Manager. Grant is widely regarded as the top authority on the subject of sales. In early 2015 I started my Limelight Media, and at that time I was selling websites to local businesses. I began selling building websites in the early 2000s so I defaulted to this skillset when I launched my business. From 2015 – 2017 I acquired website clients for big names like UFC’s Conor McGregor, Michael Bisping, and Tony Furgeson… these are all UFC Champions. I also landed accounts with Solar City and Rebook.

In 2017, I bought out my business partner and started the Ad Agency for FitPros. Since that time, I have gone off to become one of the top producing and recognized marketers in the space.

What are your plans, how do you plan to grow this company?

My Closer Agency has just launched staffing services in which we “place” our closers on a location and earn revenue share for each new deal closed. We have recently launched a new senior-level Closer Program called “Closer Agency” in which we teach closers how to start their own closing firm and scale. Regarding the FitPro business, we are recruiting new talent to take our service and delivery to even greater heights in the coming years.

What were the top mistakes you made starting your business and what did you learn from it?

The mistakes are thinking too small and operating with counter intentions. I learned that I “can have it all” and that I just needed to place my attention and action for doing/having such.

How do you separate yourself from your competitors?

Experience and credibility. I am the only person in the industry that has the following combinations:

  • 2 Comma Club Winner, That Coaches FitPros and also owns a Gym
  • 2 Comma Club Winner that Coaches Marketers, by also has a 7-Figure Marketing Agency
  • High-ticket Coach for Closers, But also has a multi 7-figure business

What is one thing that you do daily to grow as an entrepreneur?

Read, workout, get communicate with those more successful than myself. I conduct personal development for several hours each day. I also start my workday at 5 am.

What are three books or courses you recommend for new entrepreneurs?

How can we get in touch with you?
